One of the first decisions when booking a venue is whether you need air conditioning. Both options work well; the right choice depends on the time of day, the season, your guests and your budget.
When an AC auditorium makes sense
- Midday or afternoon ceremonies, when it is hottest.
- Large gatherings where a crowded hall can get warm quickly.
- Events with many elderly guests or young children.
- Receptions with heavy stage lighting and photography.
When a non-AC hall works well
- Early morning muhurthams and evening functions.
- Smaller family events such as engagements or birthdays.
- Cooler months and monsoon season.
- When you would rather spend more of the budget on food or decor.
Questions to ask the venue
Ask how the hall is ventilated, whether fans and power backup are provided and how the space is arranged for dining. If you are unsure, visit at the same time of day as your event to feel the conditions yourself.
Our two auditoriums
At Bhavani Mandir in Haripad you can choose Sree Sakthi, our AC auditorium, or Sree Bhavani, our non-AC auditorium. Use the availability calendar on our home page to see which is free on your date.
